Texas Hill Country
Fredricksburg & Museum of the Pacific War Renowned for it's rolling vistas and beautiful natural serenity, the Texas Hill Country will capture your heart and attention throughout every moment of this intriguing tour. You’ll arrive in the quaint German community of Fredericksburg. There you will find historic homes and shops, wooden sidewalks, old-tyme soda fountains, and uniquely Texan curios. You will have your Memorial Service at the brand new National Museum of the Pacific War. The museum is the world’s leading institution dedicated to preserving the history of WWII in the Pacific.

Also, of interest is the Pacific Combat Zone and the Nimitz Museum tracing the days of Admiral Nimitz's youth, his early years in the U.S. Navy, the years during WWII and finally the post-war years leading up to his death in 1966. You will have time to browse the shops, have lunch on your own and we recommend a stop at the vintage ice cream parlor. Bring your cameras – this is a great tour!

Remember the Alamo Tour This is an important tour and says a lot about the determination and spirit of Texans and Americans in general. As this is an historic tour, you’ll start with a bus ride down to Alamo Plaza for a tour of the famous Menger Hotel. You’ll learn of the fascinating history and see where Teddy Roosevelt gathered his original group of Roughriders. Then, you’ll view an award winning IMAX movie presentation of “The Price of Freedom” which chronicles the story of the battle of the Alamo. With fresh images and the story in your mind, you’ll then proceed to the Alamo itself. See where it all actually happened and walk the hallowed grounds of history. Afterwards, you’ll have lunch on your own back at the Riverwalk or the Rivercenter Mall and time for boutique browsing or souvenir shopping around Alamo Plaza.
